Endometriosis can also ruin our sexual and intimate life. Through dyspareunia, one of the symptoms of endometriosis that affects most of the women concerned, and the consequences that can result: decreased libido, dryness, irritations, stress, anxiety, and sometimes even vaginismus.

But why all these pains during sexual intercourse, also known as dyspareunia?

Why does endometriosis cause intimate/sexual symptoms?

We can talk about these 3 symptoms / consequences:

  1. Deep dyspareunia (at the back) or superficial (at the entrance of the vagina)
  2. Decrease in libido
  3. Droughts, irritations

Endometriotic lesions can be found on the ovaries, the fallopian tubes, the bladder, and even on more distant organs like the intestines.

These lesions cause inflammation, which, when localized around the vagina and rectum, will make any form of penetration painful, due to loss of mobility in the area among other things.

But that's not all!! Endometriosis, with its pain and chronic fatigue, can affect sexual desire, reduce libido, and the ability to relax and enjoy intimate moments...

These symptoms may be caused or worsened by the side effects of hormonal treatments often recommended by doctors in cases of endometriosis.

How to relieve dyspareunia from endometriosis and its consequences?

  1. Take time for foreplay: Long and attentive foreplay can help relax muscles and increase natural lubrication.

  2. Use an anti-pain intimate care: the ultra-concentrated intimate oil with CBD (1200mg) from Lab de l'Endo, has been specifically developed to relieve pain, dryness & intimate irritations:

  3. Experiment with different positions to find which ones are the least painful: Some positions may allow for better control of penetration depth

  4. Openly communicate with your partner: Communication is key. Explain what your pains are, and therefore your limits and what makes you feel good/bad.

  5. Consult a sex therapist to find solutions for less pain during intercourse

  6. Test perineal rehabilitation with a specialized physiotherapist or midwife: Perineal rehabilitation can help relax and strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, which can reduce pain during intercourse.

  7. Practice relaxation: Stress can worsen pain. You can practice relaxation techniques, such as meditation, yoga, or deep breathing, to help relax your body. You can also try tantric sex!

  8. If you need to boost your libido: Try a 1-month or longer course of our Libido supplement made from 4 naturally aphrodisiac plants (find reviews from those whose daily lives it has changed in the reviews at the bottom of the product page).
