Are you fed up with hearing these phrases?

If you're tired of hearing phrases like "It's all in your head" or "It's normal for a woman to suffer", then you're exactly in the right place. This article is not just a guide; it's the cry of my heart, my mission to help women who, like me, have suffered too much.

Are you ready? Let's go!

Better understanding endometriosis

The lack of consideration for women's health

I am addressing here a problem that goes beyond the simple medical sphere. Endometriosis reveals dysfunctions not only in our bodies, but also inour company.

For almost 3 years now, I have been analyzing with you day after day what endometriosis reveals about our lives, our relationships, and our place in the world, as menstruating individuals.

My battle against endometriosis has been more than a series of physical symptoms ;

it profoundly affected my development as a teenager and later as a woman.

The pain and loneliness I have endured have left me emotionally and physically wounded. These years of suffering, marked by misunderstanding and isolation, have given me an inner rage, a thirst to find explanations and solutions.

The 5 Factors of Endometriosis

Endometriosis is not only characterized by the presence of tissues, adhesions, lesions, and cysts that can be found in various parts of the body, but also by a series of reactions involving inflammation, oxidative stress, hormonal imbalance, the immune system, and the gut microbiota.

  1. Inflammation

  2. Oxidative Stress

  3. Hormonal Imbalance

  4. Immune System

  5. Intestinal Microbiota

Here, you are not alone. We are here to listen, share, and move forward by your side.

To begin with, recognizing the symptoms of endometriosis is essential for learning to manage and relieve them!

Let's review the list of 9 symptoms:

  1. Menstrual Pain (Dysmenorrhea): Intense pelvic pain and cramps during menstruation, often more painful than typical menstrual cramps.

  2. Chronic pelvic pain: Pain in the pelvic region that can occur at any time and not just during menstruation.

  3. Pain during sexual intercourse (Dyspareunia): Pain during or after sexual intercourse, at the entrance of the vagina, or deep inside (superficial or deep dyspareunia), can also extend into the abdomen

  4. Lower Back Pain: Pain in the lower back that may worsen during certain periods of the cycle.

  5. Digestive troubles: Digestive symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, bloating, pain during bowel movements, and extreme bloating: often referred to as "Endobelly."

  6. Urinary troubles: Urinary symptoms such as pain during urination, increased frequency or urgency.

  7. Heavy periods: Which require changing sanitary protection several times a day, blood clots...

  8. Chronic fatigue: Persistent feeling of tiredness or exhaustion that is not relieved by rest.

  9. Infertility or difficulty conceiving: Difficulty conceiving can be a symptom of endometriosis, although the presence of endometriosis does not necessarily mean that fertility will be affected.

These physical symptoms also have significant emotional impacts.

They can be relieved, accompanied by a specialized doctor, through surgical or hormonal treatments. But sometimes, that's not enough to provide lasting relief from the pain.

This is why we will re-emphasize the importance of taking care of both physical and mental health, through the 3M, thanks to which I am doing better with endometriosis today:

  1. Micro-nutrition
  2. Movement
  3. Mental (psycho-emotional...)

And because sharing and supporting each other makes all the difference, we will provide you with all the resources we have created to help you.

Together, let's turn this challenging journey into a rewarding adventure full of mutual support.

The 3Ms to Better Relieve Endometriosis Symptoms

1. Micro-nutrition & Endometriosis

Adopting a diet rich in natural anti-inflammatories, essential nutrients, and antioxidants can help reduce inflammation and oxidative stress.

To strengthen the immune system and rebalance a possible dysbiosis of the gut microbiota/intestine permeability, the diet must be personalized according to the identified deficiencies and the nature of the microbiota bacteria, through functional biology analyses and guidance from a professional in micro-nutrition.

I have established new pleasurable & wellness dietary routines through these 4 criteria:

  1. anti-inflammatories
  2. antioxidant
  3. digests
  4. pleasure!

2. Movement & Endometriosis

A body in motion is a body alive. Endometriosis causes a loss of mobility even in our deep tissues.

Movement helps improve mobility, reduce pain & strengthen the body.

Studies prove that activities such as yoga, stretching, and pilates can have a positive impact on symptoms, notably by reducing inflammation and stress (which is inflammatory).

I apply internal & external movement to restore mobility, through these 4 daily routines

  1. Yoga: Yoga poses can be adapted to meet individual needs, ensuring a safe and comfortable practice. Regular stretching helps reduce the loss of internal mobility related to endometriosis, which can stiffen tissues & organs through lesions, nodules, and adhesions.

  2. Self-massage (physiotherapy, osteopathy techniques...): These practices help to relax pelvic muscles, improve tissue mobility, and reduce pain. They can be done at home or with the help of a trained professional.

  3. The stomach vacuum: It is a breathing technique that strengthens the abdominal belt while massaging the digestive and thoracic organs, very effective on bloating.

  4. Acupressure / Reflexology: Stimulating specific acupressure points can relieve organs associated with endometriosis.

3. Mental (psycho-emotional) & Endometriosis

When you understand that your mind holds the key to your health, you see life completely differently. Endometriosis does not define you. It is, like your symptoms, like your emotions, a guest in your body, there to deliver a message (rather complex, I agree) about what is happening inside you, and that you need to know in order to act accordingly.

Together, I help you explore how Neuroscience, particularly through Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques, and proven mental strategies, can help you soothe your emotional and physical symptoms.
